First of all, I never said "I sell German Eagle Order fakes".

You are the one that brought up emedals as an "expert". I responded with evidence to the contrary. The ribbons are listed as original, and are obviously not. It is more difficult to see the details on the medals themselves due to the size and quality of the pics. There have been several recent posts in this forum about "questionable" items on emedals. But, if you have faith in them, then you are perfectly free to do business with them. There is no need to get defensive.

I see many items on the site that appear genuine. But I certainly wouldn't go entirely on their expertise.

My comment was clearly in reference to Rick C.

You mentioned marijuana. Have you been smoking recently?

Again, you are the one that referred to emedals as an "expert". You did not specify expert in eagle orders specifically. Is that what you were implying?

Well ... it is possible that in that sense I have to give the reason ... not everyone who has been selling militaria for some time is an expert .... perhaps I should have said, all the known vendors or militaria veterans instead of using the word expert.

I was unaware of the animosity they feel towards the articles of e-medals .... in my opinion, as far as badges are concerned, at least 90% or more of the ones I have seen for sale in your store are original. As for the ribbons of the orders of the Eagle may be true but I have not noticed that detail in their decorations .... I would appreciate a link where we can verify this you say.

          Curt,

In that thread I initiated I never even used the word "fake" regarding the tabs that started the thread. I said I had "never seen the design" ~ and that the stems were what was causing concern (for me). There was no calling Barry out for selling fakes. I was posting photos for 'comment'.

Big difference posting some photos for comment and saying the guy is selling a bunch of fakes.

For the record I've bought many items from Barry for thousands of dollars and never been disappointed ~ I believe he's a very honorable guy.

Believe me, there won't be any doubt when I "besmirch" somebody.

I have been looking at what you have said about the ribbon in the German Eagle Orders sold in e-medals. I have to say that 90% of them seem original to me, except for cases where ribbons are reproductions or do not belong to this decoration. In the case below it is a ribbon reproduction for the Blood Order.

The ribbon of the medal is an original ribbon for the annexation medal of Austria (Thinner black lines)

The fifth class below has a ribbon reproduction that would belong to the Order of the Blood (black lines attached to the margin) .. neither is the ribbon original

Below we see another Zimmermann with non-original ribbon also for the Blood Order

I suppose that in the theme of the ribbons I have to give you the reason but the decorations that I have seen for sale or sold are all original for me except a second class plate marked 21,900 of which I will post photos in another answer

I refer to this example announced as the manufacturer Godet whose characteristics, in my opinion has nothing to do with Godet. There are copies equal to this one marked on the rear needle with "800" which for me are fake

This medal is a fake (When a bronze version of the medal was authorized, the back legend was written with Latin characters and not Gothic)

These are the only cases in which I agree that they are fakes ... apart from the ribbons that we have commented. However, in general, for my e-medals it is still a reference shop even if these copies have been passed to it .... in my opinion, e-medals have decorations and other top-quality material
